Dynamic Model

Where kinematics describes the geometry of motion, dynamics describes the forces behind it. This lecture covers the Newton-Euler and Lagrangian formulations of robot dynamics, the role of inertia, Coriolis, and gravity terms, and why torque-controlled robots behave fundamentally differently from position-controlled ones.

Students will understand the dynamic model as the foundation for model-based control — the topic of the afternoon session.
