Robotics Toolbox & Python

Robotics Toolbox & Python

Students implement the Jacobian calculations from the morning lecture using Peter Corke’s Robotics Toolbox for Python. Working in their teams, they model the Lynxmotion AL5D robot, compute forward kinematics, visualise the workspace, and identify singular configurations.

This session bridges the mathematical formulation with a computational environment that will be used in the post-physical virtual phase, giving students an early feel for the tools they will rely on for their home assignment.
