
Trajectories
Trajectory calculation and path planning addresses how a robot moves from A to B while avoiding obstacles and respecting joint constraints. This lecture covers the configuration space concept, how to use inverse kinematics to control the trajectories followed by an object, obstacle avoidance, and common caveats with joint space or cartesian space planning.
The session places path planning algorithms in the broader context of autonomous robot behaviour and safety guarantees.

Tassos Natsakis is an Associate Professor in the Automation Department at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN), where he leads research and teaching in robotics.
